Vineyards and wine tasting in Wettolsheim
Emotion, heritage, passion
Domaine Barmès-Buecher is an 18-hectare vineyard estate nestling in the Vosges foothills in the heart of the Alsace region, just a few kilometres from Colmar and Eguisheim.
Certified biodynamic since 2001, the Domaine is committed to respecting the living world, the vines and the Terroirs, with due consideration for the land worked by our ancestors and passed down from generation to generation.
Thanks to our bespoke approach to winegrowing, adapted to each plot of vines, our wines possess a unique and strong personality.

at Domaine Barmès-Buecher
We have been set up in Jules and Joséphine Barmès’ fully renovated barn since July 2022. We would be delighted to welcome you here on the Domaine to introduce you to our wines and tell you all about our work.
In order to provide you with a personalised experience, we would ask you to kindly book your wine tasting in advance. Whether you are a member of the wine trade or a member of the general public, we would be happy to set aside the time to take you through our wine range.

Biodynamic wine domaine in Alsace
By opting to use biodynamic viticulture, we place respect for the terroir and the living world at the heart of everything we do, so that these become essential elements in the quality of our wines.
In addition to respecting the basic principles of organic growing, biodynamic viticulture takes into account the environment in its entirety and its interactions with the nature surrounding us.
Being present and attentive in the vineyards helps to stimulate the life forces, utilising biodynamic preparations and by planting hedgerows, grassing the vineyards, installing nesting boxes, and so on…
We also pay special attention to the lunar calendar, particularly when certain work is to be carried out in the vineyards or winery.
We attest to our commitment to biodynamic viticulture and the crafting of Terroir wines by being a member of Biodyvin and the “Renaissance des Appellations” group. The latter aims to promote the expression of the AOCs by taking an essentially biodynamic approach.
Our wines,
the stamp of a terroir,
wines full of emotion
We craft our wines in a winery sitting in the heart of the vineyards using an excellent raw material, the grape, grown with great care and respect.
Our wines reflect the subtle relationship between the vine, the terroir, the vintage and the winegrower.
We therefore prefer to use manual growing practices to respect the vines and their terroir as much as possible and to minimise the mechanical work carried out in the vineyards, where we use only lightweight agricultural machinery to reduce soil compaction as much as possible.
For example, animal traction has been re-introduced in the Hengst Grand Cru vineyards. Our approach is based on bespoke practices which are adapted to the individual needs of each plot of vines in order to craft authentic wines that are a true reflection of their terroir.
The members of our team work in close collaboration with Maxime every day and it is thanks to their painstaking and meticulous work, that the Domaine is able to create unique wines.
Each bottle of wine bears the stamp of its terroir, respecting and continuing the family's work over several generations.
